The Economist Deems Texas Worthy of a 14 Page Report

Matt and I have a subscription to the Economist that we, admittedly, can barley keep up with. The truth is we really can't keep up with the weekly publication at all because it is way too much information to digest on a weekly basis. So normally we receive one in the mail and I promptly put it into our cute little magazine basket until Matt decides eventually to try to read it.

But this week's edition definitely caught our attention. It includes a very long report on Texas (also, the cover includes the line "California vs. Texas" and features the following image, see below). As true Texans, we love any chance to read about how our state is better than the rest. The links to the articles (below) provide an interesting view of the state of our great state. Check it out when you have a few minutes (or an hour or two).

More articles included in the full report found here:

  1. Beides loving the Muscle Texas has ;) the article did us proud. I think we Texans learned a big lesson in the 80's. Here's to Tejas, Texas, and the only place in the US that says howdy and means it. Where a multi million dollar deal can still be sealed with a handshake! Here's to us Texans keeping our traditions of work ethic, opportunity, spunk and good old Texas try still alive. As our state encourages new expansion of growth from our neighbors in other states, may we never forget the friendly smile and couragement of the good neighbor mentality! Welcome, and bring it, because Bigger Is Better! Here's to TEXAS KNOW HOW. Proud to have our children born in this great state and to be a native TEXAN.
